Brands can avoid fit problems when changing pants manufacturers by clearly defining every critical measurement point and sending a physical approved sample. Pants are sensitive because small changes in rise, waistband tension, inseam, thigh width, knee width, leg opening, hip shape, and fabric shrinkage can change how the garment feels on the body. For joggers, sweatpants, cargo pants, casual pants, and track pants, elastic recovery and waistband construction are especially important. The new manufacturer should review the approved sample, rebuild or confirm the pattern, check fabric shrinkage, make a fit sample, and confirm tolerance before bulk production. Inline QC should also measure key points during sewing, not only after the order is finished.
