Denim jacket production can be risky when switching manufacturers because denim reacts strongly to washing, shrinkage, finishing, and sewing tension. Two factories may use similar denim weight but produce different hand feel, color tone, fading, seam puckering, sleeve shape, or body length after wash. Brands should provide an approved denim jacket sample, fabric swatch, wash standard, color reference, stitching details, button and rivet references, label instructions, and measurement tolerance. A new denim jacket manufacturer should confirm shrinkage and wash effect before bulk production. For mature brands, it is safer to start with a pilot order and compare the new bulk against the previous approved bulk before moving larger programs.
